Microgaming’s WowPot Jackpot Makes Videoslots Player a Millionaire

News

Microgaming’s WowPot progressive jackpot has produced another millionaire just days after the release of the latest online slot equipped with the jackpot mechanic.

On August 23, a Videoslots customer from Sweden struck the top WowPot jackpot tier on Ancient Fortunes: Poseidon WowPot Megaways. The fortunate player scooped a €3,898,637.78 win.

The hefty prize was triggered just four days after the above-mentioned online slot was released across Microgaming’s network of operator partners.

The game was developed exclusively for Microgaming by Triple Edge Studios. Inspired by ancient myths and legends, this captivating online slot was the first one to employ Big Time Gaming’s Megaways engine alongside Microgaming’s WowPot progressive jackpot.

The latest WowPot jackpot marked the fourth millionaire since the mechanic made its debut to the market in early 2021. It is also the second largest following the €17.5 million win that a 32Red player landed back in April after placing a €0.80 stake on the Book of Atem: WowPot slot.

It was in April again when a player at Belgium-licensed site Napoleon Sports & Casino Online hit a €2-million-plus prize on Sherlock & Moriarty: WowPot.

So far this year, Microgaming and its progressive jackpot network have awarded 2.6 million wins across all jackpots that comprise it and all tiers and games. This equates to more than €143 million in cash prizes and takes the network’s all-time wins above the €1.45 billion mark.

Congratulations Are in Order

Of the latest seven-figure win hit on a Microgaming slot, John Coleman, CEO of the leading online casino content supplier, said that it is amazing to see another massive WowPot win drop just a few days after the release of the latest online slot employing the mechanic. He extended his congratulations to their partner Videoslots and the brand’s Swedish player on “this impressive payout.”

Videoslots Head of Commercials William Ahlberg added that they are thrilled to provide their players with access to a number of Microgaming’s legendary progressive jackpot tittles and “even more so that one of our players has taken home the latest WowPot win, becoming a multi-millionaire!”

Speaking of legendary jackpot slots, Microgaming’s absolute top performer – Mega Moolah – this year beat its own record for the largest ever jackpot win.

In late April, a Napoleon Sports & Casino player from Belgium won a whopping €19.4 million payout on Absolootly Mad: Mega Moolah, an Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland-inspired online slot that become part of the Mega Moolah family in May 2020 to make history as the winningest progressive jackpot game.

All wins on Microgaming’s jackpot network, no matter their size, are paid out in a lump sum.
