"Always ... Patsy Cline": Musical play about the late country singer and her friendship with fan Louise Seger (Lauren Wilson), who met Cline (Rosie Webber) in a Texas honky-tonk in 1961, maintaining correspondence until the plane crash that took Cline's life in 1963. Seger recounts memories of their letters and meetings, interspersed with performances of classics such as "Crazy," "I Fall to Pieces" and "Walkin' After Midnight."

Following a pay-what-you-can dress rehearsal at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, regular performances will be 7:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sept. 16-17, with 2 p.m. matinees Sunday, Wednesday, and Sept. 18-19, all in the Bean-Brown Theatre at Shelton State Community College. Due to Shelton's COVID-19 health protocols, patrons will be required to wear a mask inside the building. "Settlers" (2021), rated R: 7:30 p.m., Bama Theatre, 600 Greensboro Ave. Second film in the Bama Art House fall film series, also including the 2021 Manhattan Short Film Festival Sept. 23, all in the Bama. "Settlers" is writer-director Wyatt Rockefeller's first feature-length film, after writing, producing and directing shorts such as "Entropy" and "Groomed." In it, the early colonists on Mars battle the elements, and each other, in a struggle to survive, when a small family is attacked by bandits.
