Developer Kaiko has offered fans a fresh look at the upcoming Fatesworn DLC for Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning.

The DLC, which was announced in September of last year, is apparently reaching the “final stages of production.” In the meantime, the studio has revealed a screenshot and the first details around Gale’s Crossing. It’s a place described as an “integral stop” on the bustling trade route known as the Sativa Road. Said road was apparently a treacherous passage that brought prosperity to the region. However, following a series of wars, the price of Sativa Fiber dropped dramatically and made it a much less desirable location.

Still, it remains a crucial junction to travellers going through the Eldrith Mountains. Residents of the area still rely on the passing trade of merchants and travellers. However, without attention and maintenance, the area has become run down by the time you’ll come across it in the game.

The Fatesworn DLC will be an entirely new storyline in the remastered version of Kingdoms of Amalur. The RPG was originally developed by Big Huge Games and released in 20212. The game was later resurrected by THQ Nordic, with the Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning HD version arriving last year.

There’s still no date for the Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning Fatesworn DLC yet, but hopefully it won’t be much longer before we hear more. Perhaps we’ll hear more at that THQ Nordic 10th anniversary showcase next week?
