Dunn (shoulder inflammation) is nearing a rehab stint and will pitch out of the bullpen if he is able to return to the big-league club this season, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Dunn probably doesn't have time to get fully stretched out as a starter, so the Mariners will prioritize getting him back in a relief role. He has been sidelined since June 17 and has a 3.75 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 49 strikeouts in 50.1 innings.
