Phil Foden steps up injury recovery after missing start of season as City star trains on the beach… in Manchester
LIFE IS a beach for Manchester City’s Phil Foden as he steps up his comeback.
The England man has been out with a foot injury suffered leading up to the Euro 2020 final with Italy.
City do not want to rush the 21-year-old back.
But yesterday Foden was seen training and doing ball work in a sandpit in the shadow of the Etihad.
Fellow midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, who has an ankle issue, did the same.
Foden is in line for a new City deal after Ruben Dias and Ederson signed long-term contracts.
Pep Guardiola’s side are keeping tabs on AC Milan ace Theo Hernandez, 23.
They want a new left-back with Benjamin Mendy suspended by the club.

And Hernandez, rated at £68million by Milan, is being closely monitored.
City’s women are out to kill off Real Madrid’s Champions League dream.
Gareth Taylor’s side returned from the first leg with a 1-1 draw and he said: “It’s about making sure we kill the game off — being smart.”
