Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada is proud to announce Danielle Strong has joined its board of directors.
As The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ associate director of catering and conference services, Strong handles all aspects of the Catering/Conference Services Department. She supports, directs, trains and supervises managers, administrative assistants and conference concierge. Additional responsibilities are the development, implementation and upkeep of all policies and procedures and client facing documentation, budgeting and strategic input for a $48 million budget, and overseeing all communication to internal departments in the execution of events.
“We are so excited to have Danielle as part of our board leadership team. Her passion for Junior Achievement’s mission is tried and true as shown through her personal volunteer time, and her experience and efforts in helping the community will be a great asset to our board,” said Michelle Jackson, president and CEO of Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada.
Born in Illinois and raised in Arizona, Strong attended both the University of Arizona in Tucson where she majored in psychology and Arizona State University in Tempe, majoring in education. She holds an EMT certification from Mesa Community in Mesa, Ariz.
“I believe the number one skill youth need to succeed is financial literacy. If they are taught from a young age about money, entrepreneurship, jobs, budgets, etc., they are much more likely to continue using this knowledge and contribute to the community they live in. Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada fills the financial education gap that schools aren’t able to provide, and I’m excited to do my part as a member of its board of directors.”
