(KSLA) - Divers have recovered the body of a 44-year-old man who drowned on Labor Day in an east Texas lake.

Officials say on Sept. 6, Texas game wardens in Titus and Camp counties were called out to a drowning on Lake Bob Sandlin.

The victim, identified as Gladewater resident Isaac Garland III, reportedly was swimming with family members and friends when he drowned. Officials there searched the lake using sonar devices and divers.

A dive team out of Longview recovered Garland’s body Tuesday afternoon.
