For the Boston Celtics and their fanbase, the approaching 2021-22 season is one filled with both mystery and opportunity.

After finishing with their worst record (36-36) since 2014-15 and seeing their first Quartefinals exit since 2015-16, newly anointed President of Basketball Operations, Brad Stevens, set out on a mission this summer to revamp and re-tool the C’s roster so that Ime Udoka has a better bunch of ballers to work with than he personally did last year.

While the front office has done a splendid job of reconstructing the rotation, there are still some out there who believe the franchise could be in line to make some more high-impact moves at some point during this upcoming campaign.

Most recently, Jack Simone of All You Can Heat concocted a trade that the Boston Celtics could actually make this season that not only would benefit the shamrocks, but could actually seriously hurt Miami’s chances of making it back to the NBA Finals this year.

The main reason for why Simone believes this is simple — Bradley Beal would be sent to Massachusetts to formulate a menacing Big-3 alongside Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

The exact deal proposed reads as follows:

Citing the fact that Boston has both the assets and the salary matching contracts necessary to execute such a blockbuster, the AUCH Site-Expert is under the impression that this long discussed idea of Beal heading to the Celtics could happen sooner rather than later.

"Boston has the assets to get a deal done as soon as this season. With Al Horford’s huge contract, it would be fairly easy for them to match Beal’s giant salary in a trade.Beal and Celtics star Jayson Tatum are long-time friends. They both grew up in St. Louis and Beal used to drive Tatum to and from basketball practice. They have been friends for years and it has constantly led to rumors that Beal would one day team up with Tatum. With Brad Stevens opening up some financial flexibility, a trade looks more likely than ever. This trade could severely hurt Miami’s chances at making the NBA Finals. While the Celtics might not have the top odds after this trade, they would certainly be harder to beat.Landing Beal would form a trio of him, Tatum, and Jaylen Brown in Boston. That big three has the potential to outscore almost anyone in the NBA.The sheer talent Boston would have on their roster would be scary to go up against. While the Miami Heat defense would probably be fairly well-equipped to take them on, it would definitely make their path to the Finals more difficult."

Now, as you all likely know, we at the Houdini have had mixed opinions about the concept of the Boston Celtics trading for Bradley Beal, though, recently, we went about and labeled him as a player worth pursuing.

The league’s second-leading scorer from this past season (31.3 points per game) and simply one of the best players in the game today would absolutely improve this team’s starting rotation and, alongside their All-Star wing duo, would easily thrust their core into the conversation of being one of the best in the NBA.

Should he be offered a deal such as the one Simone has proposed, Brad Stevens should strongly consider jumping at the opportunity.
