EastEnders - Johnny Carter

Does anyone else want to see Johnny again in EastEnders? I always thought it was refreshing to have a character like him, and the Square would be in need of a solicitor once Gray finally is exposed!

As much as I would prefer to avoid recasts, I think one would be needed in this case. The last actor, Ted Reilly, didn’t really go down well with viewers and lacked some of the charisma we had with Sam Strike. Sam was brilliant as the original Johnny, however he’s landed himself an amazing career in Hollywood now and I don’t see him coming back.

Personally, I’d cast the actor Leo Suter. He resembles Sam Strike a lot in my opinion, and a bit of Ted too. Not to mention he is very easy on the eye!

    Agreed, but definitely recast, Leo Suter is a good shout.

    Unless they can find decent recast then no, the character never worked imo rather see Lee back if they was to bring another one back but tbh I think there enough Carter’s as there is, I think to many spoil it.

    I would rather have a Lady Di recast. I've accepted the fact the original actress isn't coming back as she's living her best life in NY now with her girlfriend. She isn't blacklisted over there.

    Lee should return at this stage but I would like to see another Gay Male Character on the Show.

    I’d like to see Lee back too. His previous 2 guest Christmas stints were intriguing, I’d like to see him again now he’s changed his life around and gotten the help he needed.

    No Thx Danny Boy is an abysmal actor who I have no interest in seeing that gormless look anytime soon

    With Ben and Callum being centre stage I doubt EE would bring back or bring in any male gay characters

    With Gray likely to be leaving soon it does actually mean there is gap for a solicitor in EE and it would be nice to see Johnny return working for a local firm and taking that role which would allow him to integrate with other families. If they ever brought back Johnny (recast) I wish he would come back with a boyfriend/husband and they create a new household away from the pub/parents with their own storyline

    He's currently filming a film called The Dougherty Gang.

    That guy would Be better than Ted Reilly. I’d still like Sam Strike back. He worked well and had great chemistry with the other Carter family actors
