SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WHCU) — The director of the New York State Fair is in favor of returning to a 13-day schedule.

Troy Waffner tells NewsChannel 9 vendors prefer the Fair’s original length of 13 days, citing stress and workload on vendors. The Fair was extended last year to 18 days by former Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Over 1.3 million people attended this year’s extended Fair. Waffner calls 13 days “a good run” for the Fair, which ended Sunday.
