ESPN’s Paul Finebaum has ranked college football’s top four teams following the eventful Week 1 action. Let’s recap what happened.

UNC fell to Virginia Tech on Friday night. Georgia dominated Clemson’s offense and won a 10-3 brawl over the Tigers. Ohio State held off Minnesota  to win 45-31. LSU lost on the road to Chip Kelly and UCLA. Penn State won a defensive battle at Wisconsin.

Alabama blew out Miami in Atlanta, Georgia. Oklahoma raced out to a large halftime lead, but Tulane almost pulled off the an incredible comeback. Notre Dame won in overtime against Florida State.

Georgia’s win over Clemson likely will have the largest impact of any Week 1 game on the College Football Playoff.
