Trailing 4-3 going into the bottom of the eighth, the Tides got a rally knowing in the nick of time. Robert Neustrom hit his sixth home run of the season in the eighth inning to tie it, and Richie Martin drew a bases-loaded walk in the ninth to walk off with the win.
Neustrom had himself a day, finishing 3-for-3 with two home runs and three RBI. He’s batting .264 with an .840 OPS for the season.
Martin (triple), Brett Cumberland and Zach Jarrett had the other Norfolk hits. Yusniel Diaz went 0-for-3 with a strikeout and left two men on base.
