One man is behind bars after crashing his truck into a car and then a house early Sunday morning.
Walla Walla Police said they arrived on scene Sunday morning after receiving reports of a driver who rammed into a car near Stevens and Tietan St, took off at speeds around 80 mph south on Stevens St, lost control and then crashed into the back of a house.
Police say witnesses said the driver ran away on foot.
Officers spotted the suspect after the on-duty Sergeant found a phone that was left behind which had the suspect's picture on the lock screen.
Authorities said the suspect was walking past the scene when the Sergeant recognized him from his lock screen photo.
Police arrested Jesus Rios, 34, of Walla Walla who now faces charges for two counts of vehicle assault, reckless driving, hit and run, driving while license suspended 3rd degree and two outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Officials said no injuries were reported.
