EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders' Janine Butcher made her much-anticipated return to Walford tonight, and it seems she's not done stirring up new drama just yet.
In tonight's (September 6) episode of the BBC One soap, Janine (Charlie Brooks) made her grand entrance just as Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) was telling Scarlett's social worker that she'd like to become her carer.
"I've known her mum for a long time and I can tell you some stories about her, some horror stories," Kat insisted. "Trust me, this little girl is better off if she never sees her again."
With Kat pleading her case to the social worker, the soap then cut to Zack Hudson (James Farrar) as he was looking after his nephew Albie while waiting for a doctor's appointment.
As the doctor entered the room, Zack shared a few flirtatious comments with the newcomer, before she turned around and revealed herself to be Janine – or, as she told Zack, Dr Bernstein.
"I am so sorry I'm late," she told him. "There's always something keeping me away. But here I am. Meter's running... give me your worst."
And now, with Janine well and truly back on the Square, it's not long before she's up to her old tricks either, as EastEnders has released four first-look photos of Janine's latest scheme.

In these new photos, Janine can be seen posing as a doctor while also charming none other than Albert Square newcomer Zack Hudson (James Farrar).
As the two continue talking, Zack has no idea that he's just met one of Walford's most infamous residents – but we're sure it won't be long before he learns the truth of who this charming new doctor is.
Ahead of Janine's shock return in tonight's episode, EastEnders also released a new trailer teasing the character's upcoming tensions with Kat as they prepare to battle it out over who will be taking care of Janine's daughter Scarlett.
Kat finally told her son Tommy Moon the truth that Michael Moon – and not Alfie – is his biological father in tonight's episode, making Scarlett his half-sister.
As Kat's confession only left Tommy more determined than ever that they should help Scarlett, who has been living in foster care after being left by her mum Janine, it looks like Kat and Janine will soon be clashing over what each thinks is best for Scarlett.
"All my stuff has been with Jessie Wallace to begin with. There's a lot of really fun Kat/Janine stuff, which has been really great," Charlie Brooks recently teased of her character's return plot.
"With some of the relationships, and some of the old characters that we see her working with, for me I know when it's exciting because I can feel it as an actress," she added.
"I can feel it when two characters are sparking off each other. I'm like: 'This feels so good and so exciting.' So you've got a lot of that to look forward to."
EastEnders continues on Tuesday, September 7 at 7.30pm on BBC One.
