(Brooklyn, NY) — Police are confirming that actor Michael K. Williams was found dead in his New York City apartment Monday afternoon. The 54-year-old Williams, best known for playing Omar on “The Wire,” was found by a family member with drug paraphernalia around him. Authorities say it appears to be a drug overdose, possibly from heroin or fentanyl. Police say it doesn’t appear foul play was a factor in his death.
