One person faces DUI charges after a rollover crash overnight Labor Day morning in Moses Lake.

Twenty-four-year-old Jose Juancruz was the driver, who was thrown out of the car, a 2000 Toyota Camry, during the crash on State Route 17.

He and 20-year-old passenger Brayhan Contreresmarmolejo were taken to a hospital with injuries.

Washington State Patrol says Juancruz faces DUI charges in the crash. Trooper John Bryant told KPQ News it's practically a miracle Juancruz is still alive after being unbuckled and thrown out of the car.

Officers say Juancruz and Contreresmarmolejo were traveling southbound on Highway 17 approaching Stratford road when the car they were in left the roadway to the right, striking an embankment.

The car rolled and came to a rest in one of the southbound lanes of the highway.

The State Patrol went to the crash at 3:23 a.m. Monday morning.

The condition of Juancruz and Contreresmarmolejo is not known as of Monday afternoon.
