Cardi B Says She "Was Sold" When Offset Suggested This Name for Their Son

Oh, baby! Ever since Cardi B announced that she was pregnant at the 2021 BET Awards, fans have waited with bated breath for the femcee to welcome her second bundle of joy with Offset. Cardi gave birth to a baby boy on Sept. 4, 2021.
Though the Bronx native is always sharing adorable photos of her daughter, Kulture (who was born in 2018), as well as dishing on her new baby boy's major milestones, one question remains unanswered: What is Cardi B’s son's name? Read on to get the lowdown.
Cardi B welcomed a baby boy in September 2021.
On Sept. 6, 2021, Cardi B stunned fans with the announcement of her new baby boy on Instagram. In the post, Cardi can be seen cradling the newborn in a hospital bed as Offset lovingly looks on. Adorbs!
“9/4/21,” Cardi captioned the photo with a dinosaur, blue heart, and teddy bear emoji.
"We are so overjoyed to finally meet our son," the couple told People at the time. "He is already loved so much by family and friends and we can't wait to introduce him to his other siblings."
In addition to Kulture, Offset has three kids — Kalea, Kody, and Jordan — from previous relationships.

On April 14, 2022, Cardi and Offset finally shared their 7-month-old son's name with the public.
Taking to Instagram, the female rapper shared an adorable snap of her youngest child rocking a blue fur coat and massive diamond chain. She captioned the photo with the same three emojis she used in the post about his birth. As we quickly learned, these emojis were meant to represent his name.
However, it wasn't until Offset shared a different photo of their son, that fans were able to piece it all together. "WAVE SET CEPHUS," he wrote in the caption.
To confirm, Cardi B and Offset's son is named Wave Set Cephus.
After the news was out, Cardi B tweeted that Offset was the one who came up with their son's name. "When Set suggested Wave, I was sold! THAT HAD TO BE HIS NAME !" she wrote on Twitter on April 15, 2022, alongside a video of a piece of jewelry that spelled out his name.
But while this is the first time Cardi posted her son's name on her Twitter, this isn't the first time she's tweeted about his unique moniker.
"Random but … I'm 1% close to tatting my son's name on my face … I really really wanna do it!" she previously wrote on Jan. 16, 2022.
So, can we expect some new ink? It's hard to tell if she was teasing. Regardless, we would like to send a huge congratulations to Cardi and Offset on their growing family!
