The Boston Red Sox signed shortstop Jose Iglesias and activated left-handed reliever Josh Taylor off the COVID-19 injured list Monday in a flurry of moves.

The Red Sox added Iglesias, released by the Los Angeles Angels over the weekend, to their active roster. Iglesias made his major league debut with the Red Sox in 2011.

The club also selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Michael Feliz and returned COVID-19 replacement players Jack Lopez, John Schreiber and Kutter Crawford to Triple-A Worcester.

Iglesias, 31, was hitting .259 in 114 games with the Angels this season, with eight home runs and 57 runs scored. He’s a career .276 hitter and made the All-Star team while with Detroit in 2015. He finished second in Rookie of the Year voting in 2013, splitting the season between Boston and Detroit. He has 43 career HRs.

Taylor, 28, is 1-0 with a 3.38 ERA in 54 appearances this season. He is averaging 11.4 strikeouts per nine innings.

Feliz, 28, has an 8.79 ERA without a decision in 16 games this season with the Cincinnati Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates. He was released by the Reds on Aug. 25 and signed with the Red Sox three days later.

The Red Sox opened a three-game set against American League East division leader Tampa Bay on Monday.
