Pogba will play alongside Ronaldo for the first time in his career this season. It is hoped the pair will strike up a formidable partnership.

Having already registered five assists in the opening three matches of the 2021-2022 campaign, Pogba will be looking to add to his tally by supplying Ronaldo with a steady stream of opportunities.

Pogba also has a track record of raising his game when playing with alongside other stars - having performed exceptionally with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

However, balancing a squad filled with the likes of Pogba, Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood and more will put Solskjaer’s man management skills to the test

Both Ibrahimovic and Pogba arrived at Old Trafford ahead of the 2016-17 campaign and established a delightful partnership.

Should Pogba and Ronaldo be able to do the same, Manchester United could be in with a shout of challenging for the Premier League title.
