WEATHERFORD, Okla. – Justin Bailey of SWOSU Football and Courtney Williams from the Bulldog Cross Country team have been named the first Bulldogs of the Week for the 2021-2022 school year. 

The award is brought to you by Wright Wradio, the home of the Bulldogs over the airwaves on both 95.5 'The Coyote' and 100.3 'Coyote Classic.'

Bailey, a Senior wide receiver from Wylie, Texas, was named a captain for the Bulldogs first game of the year against Henderson State and did everything he could to lead by example. A couple of crucial clutch catches from Bailey kept SWOSU drives alive and helped get the offense moving early in the first half. He had four catches for 81 yards and also returned punts for the Bulldogs. 

Williams, a Sophomore from Keyes, Oklahoma, led the SWOSU Cross Country team at the OBU Invitational with her first ever top-ten finish in collegiate competition. Her 12:14.91 two-mile time helped the Bulldogs to a team score of 70 points and an impressive second-place finish to start off their season on the right foot.
