If you're wanting to see a movie at several Portland movie theaters, don't forget your vaccination card.
Starting Wednesday, September 8, vaccines will be required to see a movie at The Hollywood Theatre as well as Cinema 21, Cinemagic, Laurelhurst Theater, Living Room Theaters and Broadway Metro in Eugene.
According to a statement on Hollywood's website, you can bring your card, a photo of your card or a digital vaccination record. If you haven't been vaccinated, you must show proof of a negative covid test within the last 72 hours.
The vaccine requirement does not apply to kids under 12 who can't get a shot and who are there with a fully vaccinated adult. Refunds will be offered if you previously bought tickets and can't meet the requirements.
Masks are also required at all times in the theaters with the only exception being when you are eating and drinking in your seat.
Several other Portland venues have already announced similar requirements, including the Moda Center, Providence Park, and Portland’5 Centers for the Arts.
