Jorginho has always had his admirers in his native Italy, but he was courted by former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri - who he also worked with at Napoli - when the coach moved to Juventus.

'In the past, when Sarri was the coach, there was a possibility that Jorginho would come to Juventus,' he said. 'The Juventus director made an approach, it was a possibility.'
