(McQueeney) — An 87-year-old Guadalupe County man is reportedly admitting to the fatal shooting of his 83-year-old wife on Sunday.
Deputies responded shortly after noon to the reported shooting at a home on Admiral Benbow Lane in McQueeney. Upon arrival, they found the man’s wife shot to death, and the man reportedly told them he’d shot her. He also told deputies he tried to shoot himself afterward, but he wasn’t wounded.
The man was taken to a local hospital for a possible mental evaluation.
