Clarke (1-3) took the loss in Sunday's 10-4 defeat at the hands of the Mariners, allowing four runs (three earned) on one hit and two walks without recording an out.

Clarke was brought in to pitch the 11th of a 3-3 game and proceeded to walk the first two Mariners before surrendering a two-run Kyle Seager double and being pulled. Though he hadn't pitched poorly prior to Sunday, the loss marks his third in his last four appearances and the 28-year-old now owns a 4.98 ERA on the season.
