Best future bets to make on Indianapolis Colts

If you’re into betting on the Colts, here’s four bets you should cash in on.

Are you into sports betting? I imagine you’ve at least heard of it, if you live in Indiana or anywhere else around the U.S. Becoming more commonplace nowadays as different sports organizations build sportsbooks in their venues to increase revenue and live betting, it’s just now reaching a level that should steadily climb throughout the decade.

If you like to bet, or even if you just peruse through the odds sometimes without wagering, this article is for you. I scoured through to find some juicy Indianapolis Colts related odds that you could cash out on by season’s end.

Let’s go ahead and discuss some Colts future bets that were too good not to discuss:

Darius Leonard leads NFL in tackles = +700 odds ($20 to win $160)

Leonard is tied for the best odds currently alongside New York Giants linebacker Blake Martinez. Even as the top betting option, Leonard can still win you back over $140 if you laid a $20 wager.

This feels like the safest bet to make. Leonard should feast with the Colts’ strong defensive line, which allows him to roam and collect endless amounts of tackles. Leonard has already lead the league in tackles before. If he plays a full 17-game schedule, Leonard should do it once again.

Kwity Paye wins Defensive Rookie of the Year = +1200 odds DROY ($20 to win $260)

With how Paye has looked throughout training camp and preseason, I’m stunned the odds are still this good. Paye looks the part of an immediate instant impact pass rusher, which has been missing in Indy for years. Add him alongside DeForest Buckner and magic should be created on a weekly basis. There’s real potential for Paye to deliver a double-digit sack rookie campaign, which puts him right in the thick of discussions.

Ranked behind Micah Parsons, Jamin Davis and Jaelan Phillips, Paye at +1200 is a smart long-term investment to bet on.

Jonathan Taylor leads NFL in rushing yards = +900 odds ($20 to win $200)

Taylor is already one of the most well-refined running backs in the NFL. If he can continue upon his hot close to his rookie season, Taylor should be a top candidate to become the NFL rushing king. It will be a tough task with Derrick Henry, Dalvin Cook and Nick Chubb, but Taylor should see a heavy workload often in Indianapolis’ offense.

Especially early on with a tough schedule, plus Julio Jones now taking touches away from Derrick Henry in Tennessee for a more well-balanced offensive attack, Taylor is a sneaky good bet to place before his odds climb mid-season.

DeForest Buckner wins Defensive Player of the Year = +3500 odds DPOY ($20 to win $720)

Colts GM Chris Ballard recently mentioned to the local media that Buckner should be a candidate for DPOY during the 2021-22 season. If Ballard is saying that, I’m certainly listening.

Currently tied for the 24th-best odds at +3500, Buckner would make you back a massive amount of money if he were to actually win the award. It’s not rare either for a defensive tackle to take home DPOY. Aaron Donald’s dominance over the years is a perfect example.

If Buckner puts together a 15-plus sack campaign and terrorizes offenses on a weekly basis, which I believe is a plausible scenario, this is a fun bet to place right now before the season opener next Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
