The Los Angeles Lakers made a number of big-time moves this summer, following up the Westbrook trade by signing Carmelo Anthony, Kent Bazemore, Dwight Howard, Rajon Rondo, and more.
And while L.A. has quickly become among the NBA's favorites to win the Chip this year, there are some who doubt that their roster can close the deal.
Mostly, the doubts and concerns stem from the Purple and Gold's average age, which stands at around 30.9 years old. If you count just the three main stars (LeBron, Westbrook, and Davis), they average out to 32-years old.
It is true that experience can often be an advantage in the world of sports, but the fact is that these Lakers are going to face some real challenges this upcoming season, especially in regards to durability. This fact has not been lost on some people.
On Twitter, former NBA coach George Karl made a rather funny joke about the whole situation in L.A., flaming the "old man" Lakers for assembling such an interesting roster.

A quick glance at the team will tell you that most of their players are out of their prime, including two of their top three.
A few years ago, this squad would have absolutely decimated the league. But now? There is some serious doubt that these guys have enough in the tank, especially to beat a team like the Nets.
In the comments, fans spoke up about their own opinion on the subject:
Any team with LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook should never be counted out. And this year, even despite all the doubts, folks are giving them their due.
But we'll just have to wait and see what happens when it is all said and done.
“Yeah, they definitely stacked their team,” Shaquille O'Neal told Complex. “They’re older, but until you can show me a young team that has dominated the league, I’m not really worried too much about their age.”
The jury is split on the Lakeshow, and we're all waiting to see who gets proven right.
