Jonathan Menéndez Take Advantage Of Deflection, Scores First RSL Goal

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Forward Jonathan Menéndez took advantage of a deflection inside the box to give Real Salt Lake the lead over FC Dallas.
RSL hosted FC Dallas at Rio Tinto Stadium on Saturday, September 4.
In the 54th minute of action, RSL’s Noah Powder put a shot on goal before it was deflected.
Menéndez made the most of the deflection and sent the ball into the back of the net.
The goal gave Real Salt Lake a 2-1 lead over Dallas.

It was Menéndez’s first goal as a member of RSL.
Real Salt Lake’s first goal of the match was scored by Justen Glad late in the first half of play.
Menéndez entered the match with three assists, eight shots, and one shot on goal in eight games this season.
