Check out these images from the LSU Tigers first trip to The Rose Bowl

The LSU Tigers didn’t have a memorable trip to The Rose Bowl on Saturday night. Well, it was memorable but for all the wrong reasons. The Bayou Bengals will head home with an 0-1 record to start the season for the second-straight year.

Much like the loss to the Mississippi State Bulldogs to start 2020, the defense was gashed time and time again. Both times the team lost by 10 or more points. It could be time to go back to the drawing board and figure out what is wrong with the defense.

We can’t blame it all on the defense as the offense has its own warts. Against the Bruins, Max Johnson and company punted far too often. On the first seven possessions of the game, it ended with Avery Atkins on the field punting the ball way. Six out of the seven ended with a kick, either by Atkins or preseason All-American kicker Cade York.
