Miami Heat guard Kyle Lowry is on board with the notion that Chicago Bulls star Zach LaVine deserves much more recognition at this stage in his career.

LaVine is just coming off of his most complete season in the NBA yet. He posted career highs in points per game (27.4) and field goal percentage (50.7) en route to earning the first All-Star selection of his career.

As LaVine’s career has continued to blossom, Lowry believes that more should be taking notice of his growth as an offensive player.

In speaking during Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum’s “Pull Up with CJ McCollum” podcast, Lowry was asked on just who is the most slept on player in the NBA today. Without much hesitation, the six-time All-Star lauded the Bulls’ rising scoring star.

“I’m gonna say Zach Lavine,” Lowry said. “He’s one of them players in the NBA. He’s an All-Star. People don’t understand just how good he really, really is.”

McCollum also chimed in with his take on LaVine by noting that the upcoming season will be a notable year for him.

“I like Zach a lot,” McCollum said. “Big year for him. They have a nice little situation over there in Chicago.”

The Bulls do head into the upcoming season with plenty of expectations to make a long-awaited return to the playoffs. The Bulls front office made several key acquisitions to help the team achieve this goal, including hauling in Lonzo Ball from the New Orleans Pelicans in a sign-and-trade move over the opening week of the free agency period.

After coming off of a noteworthy All-Star campaign, the pressure surely will be on LaVine to continue to show stark improvements with his game. And as mentioned, he is expected to lead the Bulls to a playoff berth in the Eastern Conference this upcoming season.
