Netrebko cancels tour due to family medical emergency
NewsNext Tuesday’s Vienna recital by Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov at the Konzerthaus has been called off.
The reason given is ‘a ‘medical emergency in the closest family circle of the artists.’
A new Vienna date has been announced for next July. The couple have also cancelled dates in Madrid and Prague.
Here we go again… family reasons…
No… ‘medical emergency in the closest family circle’, which is more specific and serious than the usual excuses. Hoping all is well for the Netrebko family.

She has just announced the death of her father. I’m sure that those of us who aren’t her fans as far as her music is concerned will still wish her well as she goes through this difficult time.
Her father just died, which is a perfectly legitimate reason to cancel. Please show respect, everyone.
