Personal Property Inventories For County Officials To Be Addressed, Commissioners To Receive Distress Warrant Return From Treasurer

WAYNE – County Commissioners in Wayne County will hold their first of two regularly scheduled meetings in the month of September on Tuesday.

From the Wayne County Courthouse courtroom, the Tuesday, September 7 meeting will begin at 9 a.m.

Among the consent agenda to be approved will be for a special designated liquor license for Johnnie Byrd Brewing Company to serve a wedding rection at 85365 567th Ave. in Winside on October 9 from 2 until 11:59 p.m. Another special designated liquor license will be for Greenhorn Entertainment LLC to serve at the Demolition Derby at the Wayne County Fairgrounds Grandstand on Sunday, September 26 from 1 – 11:30 p.m.

Wayne County Emergency Manager Nic Kemnitz will provide updates to the board along with making a Missouri River Outdoor Expo request.

County Commissioners will then receive the county treasurer’s distress warrant return while also looking to approve personal property inventories for county officials during the 2020-21 fiscal year. A motion will then be made to set the minimum rate for personal property inventories for the 2021-22 fiscal year.

Highway Superintendent, Mark Casey will also address the board on road and bridge updates.
