If you didn't know by now, NBA legend and current TNT analyst Charles Barkley is not a fan of the anti-vaxxers. Last month, he appeared on CNBC and blasted people across the US who refuse to get vaccinated for COVID-19. Then once again this week on The Mike Missanelli Show in Philly, Barkley went off again. Via The Huffington Post:

“For us to be selfish and not trying to help the world get back where we can take these stupid masks off and go out to dinner in a full restaurant, I just think it’s selfish,” said Charles Barkley, who is fully vaccinated.

“I’ve heard these idiots talk about chips in it, and I heard people talking about [the government] wants to follow us around,” the basketball Hall of Famer added of conspiracy theories surrounding the shots. “They can follow us around anyway. Everybody got a cellphone. And first of all, what are you doing that you’re worried about people following you?”

Charles Barkley has a very valid point. The conspiracy theories circling on social media are one of the biggest reasons that people across the States won't get the vaccine. But, there's simply no other way to get past this entire pandemic, especially with the Delta Variant ripping its way across the entire world.

Charles Barkley also proceeded to slam the countless athletes who are against getting the jab, especially because they remain “well-paid” and safe despite playing in empty stadiums while the less fortunate have lost their jobs and even their lives. Many NFL stars have voiced their displeasure with the new COVID-19 rules in the league while there have also been NBA players who won't get the vaccine or refuse to confirm they have it.

Needless to say, Barkley is letting everyone hear what he has to say. Good on him.
