AEW All Out to Stream on FITE TV in the US
– So much for that Bleacher report exclusivity. FITE TV announced today that Sunday’s AEW All Out event will be available on the streaming service this weekend. This will be the first time an AEW pay-per-view event has been available on FITE TV in the US.
Fans across the globe, including Canada, will also be able to purchase the event on FITE TV. Exclusions will include India and Israel. It will be priced at $49.99 on FITE and can be purchased at the above link.
As noted, this news comes just three days after AEW and WarnerMedia announced that AEW All Out would receive “exclusive digital distribution” in the United States on Bleacher Report via the Bleacher Report app, BleacherReport.com and connected devices.
It’s unknown what exactly sparked this change, especially just days after WarnerMedia made a big showing of announcing an exclusive US streaming deal for All Out on the Bleacher Report app. However, Henry T. Casey with TomsGuide.com reports the late addition of All Out on FITE TV is due to Bleacher Report’s lack of availability on enough streaming platforms (ie Apple TV). Also, it was suggested that online backlash from fans to the Bleacher Report exclusivity may have forced AEW to change course.
Additionally, FITE TV is readily available on numerous devices including most smartphones, tablets, game consoles, smart TVs, and more. Meanwhile, Bleacher Report only has apps on Roku and mobile phones, but fans have to uninstall B/R Live on Fire TV and download the new app to order All Out. So there’s likely even more confusion there.
Regardless, fans in the US now have another streaming option to watch All Out tomorrow. The event is being held on Sunday at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. It will feature CM Punk’s return to wrestling and AEW in-ring debut. He will be headlining against Darby Allin in Punk’s first wrestling match since January 2014.
