ROBERT CAMILLE PAPIN

Robert Camille Papin of Black River, Michigan passed away quietly at his beloved farmhouse on Aug. 30, 2021 at the age of 78.

Bob was born to Betty (Bromund) and Camille Papin on April 9, 1943 in Bay City, Michigan. He graduated from Alcona High School then Michigan State University. Bob went on to use his education in many business ventures including dairy farming (Valley View Farms and Farm Fresh Dairy) and property development. He especially enjoyed his hobby farm into his retirement. Bob also had a passion for landscaping; his beautiful flower gardens were remarkable. Bob’s enormous work ethic allowed him to employ and guide numerous people along his journey. He will be missed by many.

Surviving are his four children: MaryFrances (David) Ran of Bainbridge Island, Washington, Jeff (Tracie) Papin of Alpena, Matt (Dawna) Papin of Alpena, and Scott (Kristy) Wilding of Farmington Hills. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren: Elise, Jillian, Misty, Marcus, Nick, Matina, Gracie, Daniel, Stella, Isla and Greta, two great-grandsons: Carson and Asher, and one great-granddaughter: Rory. Bob also leaves behind four siblings: Cheryl (Lonnie) Dziesinski of Alpena, Linda (Joe) Hastings of Black River, Ron (Bonnie) Papin of Alaska, and Karen (Bob) Nielsen of Alpena. Bob also has many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Camille Papin (June 29, 1978) and Betty Papin LaCross (June 15, 2011). Bob had simple wishes for his passing and in lieu of flowers for condolences, the family suggests a donation to your local animal shelter in Bob’s memory.

A celebration of life for his family and friends will be held at a later date.
