The Numbers Limited-Time Event Starts Next Week in Call of Duty

Season 5 Reloaded, the next big content update for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, is due to launch on the 9th of September. On that date, Treyarch will also be starting its next limited-time event, giving players the chance to earn exclusive rewards. The Numbers Event will be available across both games and will feature a wide selection of prizes for its participants.

Call of Duty: What is The Numbers Event?

Earlier in Season 5, Treyarch introduced new locations to Call of Duty: Warzone’s Verdansk map called Mobile Broadcast Stations. Next week, with the launch of Season 5 Reloaded, these Stations will become much more important. According to Treyarch; “the Mobile Broadcast Stations around Verdansk will soon begin amplifying the ‘Dragovich Program’ tapes – A.K.A. the Numbers broadcasts – across the region.”

The Numbers Event will be live in-game from the 9th of September until 10:00 AM PT on the 21st. In Warzone, players will be able to interact with Verdansk’s Mobile Broadcast Stations. Doing so will earn players an immediate $2,000 Cash prize in their current match. However, the more important part is that players will unlock an exclusive cosmetic reward. Each Broadcast Station is unique, and features its own unique reward item. There will be nine in-game challenges relating to these Mobile Broadcast Stations, but this event isn’t exclusive to Warzone.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will also offer its own nine in-game challenges during the event. These are primarily based around the new map and game modes introduced in Season 5 Reloaded. Like the Broadcast Stations, these challenges will offer exclusive cosmetic rewards. Plus, players can unlock a new arcade cabinet game, the details of which are currently secret.

Completing all nine challenges in either Warzone or Black Ops Cold War will earn players an extra reward; the Sai. This new melee weapon will be available for use in both games, and is the first weapon to feature as an event reward. Note that players must specifically complete all nine challenges of either game – not nine challenges in total across both.
