Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Corey Brent and Kelly Neelan's trial is in full swing on Coronation Street, and things aren't looking good for Kelly at all as Corey blamed the whole attack on her.

Corey (Maximus Evans) and Kelly (Millie Gibson) are both facing murder charges after the vicious attack that caused Seb Franklin's death, though viewers know that it was Corey who killed Seb.

After Eli took to the stand and also blamed Kelly, while making Corey seem like the good guy at the same time, Abi Franklin was a bit suspicious in tonight's (September 3) episode.

Later she bumped into Corey's dad Stefan, who she accused of paying off whoever he could to make sure his son was found not guilty.

"How much is this costing you all then? The fancy barristers and celebrity endorsements, the bribes, the bungs?" Abi said. "Kelly had you pegged, I saw your face when she kicked off."

He admitted he had paid for the best people because he could afford it, but it was all above board, and he then asked her "from one parent to another" what she would pay to protect her child.

"My child is dead, and yours killed him."

"No," he told her. "Look, I'm sorry you lost your son, I truly am. But I don't want to lose mine too."

It just didn't sit right with her so she did what everyone else does and combed all of their social media posts to see if anything stood out. And, of course, it did.

Abi discovered that just two weeks before, Stefan gave Eli's dad a senior job at his company, which looks a lot like a bribe.

"Eli's dad has just announced a new job two weeks ago – senior logistics consultant at Corey's dad's company," she told Kevin Webster.

This was quite a step up from his previous position as a delivery driver, so Abi was quite rightly suspicious and dismissed Kevin's suggestion that it was a coincidence.

"From minimum wage one week to desk job and company car the next, that's not climbing the ladder, that's a flaming rocket ship."

Corrie has confirmed that viewers will discover Corey and Kelly's fate next Friday (September 10), so if this new information turns out to be correct, there could be even more drama for the teens involved.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
