Mnet's 'Girls Planet 999' announces Planet TOP 9 trainees after the first global voting

MNet's 'Girls Planet 999' announced Planet TOP 9 trainees after the first global voting.


In the first global voting, 51 trainees from seventeen highest-ranked cells were guaranteed a pass to the next round. Then Masters (mentors) saved three more trainees, one from each country.


At the end of the episode, the official individual ranking for Planet TOP 9 trainees was also announced. 

Kawaguchi Yurina took 1st place and Planet Master Yeo Jin-goo announced that Yurina ranked #1 in 83 countries! The second spot was taken by Shen Xiaoting, who is in the same cell as Yurina.
Powerful performer Ezaki Hikaru ranked at 3rd podium spot. Choi Yujin, a member of girl group CLC ranked 4th. Former JYP Entertainment trainee Sakamoto Mashiro was 5th.
The most experienced in survival shows Su Ruiqi was 6th, Cai Bing was 7th, former Busters member Kang Yeseo ranked 8th, and former SM trainee Kim Chaehyun managed to take the last spot in TOP 9.

Global voting for 2nd round of elimination is already opened, and it will be closed on 18th September. You can vote for trainees through Universe App.

    one thing i noticed, while it seems "fair" there is 3 Chinese, 3 Japanese and 3 Koreans in the Top 9.

    the Koreans ranking are at #4, #8 and #9 respectively.. so the 2 other Koreans are in a danger of being pushed out.

    it would be strange if a Final 9 group has less than 3 Korean members, considering the K-Group trainees were thinking since its a kpop group, K-Group has an advantage of the language and they are also more used to the k-pop training in Korea than say Chinese or japanese trainees.
