Meghan Markle Lies Dying After Horrific Car Crash In Opening To New TV Movie 'Escaping The Palace'
A new made-for-TV movie opening with Meghan Markle dying underneath an overturned car - paralleling the death of Princess Diana - has been causing disgust and outrage from viewers.
According to the Daily Mail, Harry & Meghan: Escaping the Palace is an upcoming made-for-TV movie premiering on the United States cable network Lifetime. The movie will reportedly dramatize Prince Harry's and his wife Meghan’s controversial decision to leave their roles in The Firm and the royal family after the birth of their son Archie.
On Friday it was revealed that the movie will reportedly open with a dream sequence involving Meghan Markle dying in a violent car accident - just days after the 24th anniversary of Princess Diana's tragic death in a violent car accident in Paris.
According to the film’s synopsis, as well as sources who have seen some of the film, the flipped car is then surrounded by photographers as a desperate and scared Prince Harry fights his way through the group before pulling the car door open. An injured Meghan then pleads with Harry to save her, but then the whole sequence is ultimately revealed to be a nightmare as Harry awakes and is comforted to see his wife and their son Archie both alive and safe.
Although these scenes are the only ones from the made-for-TV film to be revealed so far, fans are already coming out in droves to say how tasteless and insensitive the whole thing truly is.
“This is in bad taste. I don’t believe they can make a series like this!!” one angry person posted onto social media regarding the film’s opening sequence.

“The lowest of the low. When will they all stop cashing in on Princess Diana. Let her RIP for goodness sake,” another person said on Twitter after seeing the insensitive scene in question.
Although she did not make any statements regarding the opening dream sequence of her character dying in a violent car crash that has so many viewers up in arms, the actress playing Meghan Markle did come out to Newsweek about her role playing the Duchess.
“Because she is a living breathing person and I’m playing her pretty much right now in her life, I definitely felt a responsibility to be respectful and very grounded and make her a three-dimensional person and not portray her as this tabloid cartoon,” Sydney Morton, the actress playing Meghan, told the outlet.
The Lifetime drama is reportedly premiering in the United States on Monday, and the promos for the made-for-TV film say the drama will explore the details behind Harry and Meghan’s decision to ultimately leave their royal life and family behind.
