Minnesota Lynx Forward Damiris Dantas Injury Update

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx today announced that an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) taken at the Mayo Clinic in Minneapolis confirmed the diagnosis of a Lisfranc injury in forward Damiris Dantas’ right foot. After further evaluation at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester by foot and ankle specialist Dr. Norman Turner III, it has been determined surgery is not required. Dantas will be out for the remainder of the 2021 season. Further updates as to her progress will be issued when more information becomes available. 

The injury occurred during Tuesday night’s 74-66 victory against the New York Liberty.  

Dantas, a six-year veteran, has appeared in 24 contests (20 starts) this season and held averages of 7.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
