England's Declan Rice appropriately mocked Hungary fans after they threw drinks at Raheem Sterling

England went into its UEFA World Cup Qualifying match against Hungary knowing it would be facing a hostile crowd in Budapest. But it was plainly obvious that the Three Lions weren’t rattled.

After a scoreless first half, Raheem Sterling put England ahead with half-volley off a cross from Mason Mount in the 55th minute. Sterling reacted to the goal by removing his jersey — to reveal a tribute to Steffie Gregg, a Twitch streamer who died of COVID — and ran to the corner.

As he got there, though, the Hungary fans seated near the corner pelted the Manchester City star with drinks.

Keep an eye on Declan Rice.

Here's the video

Rice picked up one of those cups and pretended to drink from it as his way of mocking the Hungary fans.

Sterling’s goal and that reaction seemed to light a spark for England as it added three more goals (including one from Rice) to beat Hungary, 4-0.

As you can imagine, soccer fans especially enjoyed the trolling from Rice.

This was how Twitter reacted

What a photo.

Hungary fans didn’t exactly take the loss well either as a flare was thrown onto the pitch.

England will be back home on Sunday to face Andorra.
