Fans of the Apple TV+ original Dickinson won’t have to wait long before season 3 premieres.

On Thursday (September 2), Apple TV+ announced that Dickinson season 3 will officially premiere on Friday, November 5.

Today’s season premiere news also comes with the bittersweet announcement that the series’ 10-episode third season will also serve as its last.

In a statement announcing the upcoming premiere of the final season, series creator, writer, and executive producer Alena Smith, spoke of how she always envisioned Dickinson to have a three season story arc.

“In my wildest dreams, I could never have imagined how rich and satisfying the experience of making this show would become, and the incredible joy it has been to tell Emily’s story along with Hailee [Steinfeld] and our brilliant, passionate cast and crew,” said Smith.

Coming up on Dickinson season 3, fans can expect to see Steinfeld’s Emily’s most productive time as an artist later amidst the raging American Civil War. In her personal life, there’s also a battle raging on that’s serving to divide her own family. As Emily tries to heal the divides around her, she wonders if art can help keep hope alive, and whether the future can be better than the past.
