Petros Papadakis will serve as the color commentator on FS1 (7:30 p.m.) for the Nevada football team's season opener at Cal on Saturday. Papadakis, a former captain of the USC football team, sat down with NSN's John Ramey to discuss the Wolf Pack's game against the Bears. Papadakis said the Nevada-Cal game should be one of the top national matchups of Week 1 and said he likes the Wolf Pack's ability to run the ball in Matt Mumme and Jay Norvell's Air Raid, which will be an important facet to this game given how well Cal's Justin Wilcox coaches his secondary, which is stacked with talented players.

"One thing I just love about Coach Mumme and Coach Norvell's Air Raid is the (offensive) line splits are tighter," Papadakis said. "They line up on the offensive line and they move as one when they need to zone. And Toa Taua, the greatest Lompoc running back since Napoleon Kaufman, he can run and he knows how to get behind him. And anytime they want, they can get five yards behind that O-line with that excellent running back. That makes their Air Raid so much more balanced, and that makes this a much more interesting football game. Unlike most Air Raid teams, Nevada with (Taua) and even the two backups, those guys are all very good and they can run block. That makes them a much more balanced and complete football team."
