The New York Giants are getting healthier ahead of their season opener. With just 10 days until they square off against the Denver Broncos in Week 1, the Giants got several important offensive players back on the field at practice.

Chief among those returning to the fold was wide receiver Kenny Golladay, who had been out of practice since suffering a hamstring injury in early August. Golladay took part in the team's walk-through on Wednesday before officially joining Thursday's practice.

According to a report from SNY's Ralph Vacchiano, first-round pick Kadarius Toney, tight end Kyle Rudolph, and running back Saquon Barkley were all present at the beginning of Thursday's practice as well, though tight end Evan Engram was still absent. An additional report from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler noted that Barkley has a "strong chance" to play against Denver next weekend, though the Giants will not make an official decision until next week.

Barkley tore his ACL in Week 2 of last season, and the Giants have been preaching caution with his rehabilitation process throughout the offseason. It remains possible that Barkley either does not play or is eased back into the lineup early in the year, in which case Devontae Booker would presumably handle a heavier snap share than expected once Barkley is back at full strength.

The Giants signed Golladay and Rudolph and drafted Toney this offseason as part of their effort to put a better supporting cast around quarterback Daniel Jones, who is headed into his third NFL season after taking a step backward in Year 2. With a decision about his future likely needing to come in the next year or two, the Giants surely hope to have all their weapons on the field so they can make an informed choice. Thursday is a step in the right direction in that regard.
