Veteran power forward Paul Millsap has reached an agreement on a deal to join the Brooklyn Nets.

Shams Charania of The Athletic also noted that Millsap considered many playoff contenders like the Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors, and Los Angeles Clippers before ultimately landing with the Nets.
Brooklyn is looking to keep the Big Three of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden healthy next season as they look to make a serious push towards an NBA title.
The Nets were hit with injuries at different times to Irving and Harden during the postseason last year and they ultimately fell short to the Milwaukee Bucks in seven games.
Millsap adds a nice layer of depth to the frontcourt for Brooklyn but he's coming off a fairly underwhelming season with the Denver Nuggets. Millsap played in just 56 games a year ago for Denver and averaged just 9 points per game and 4.7 rebounds per contest. The point per game average was the lowest for Millsap since his second season in the league back in 2007-2008 with the Utah Jazz. His rebounding clip was the lowest of his career. He'll look to bounce back this season with the Nets.
Expectations are sky-high for Brooklyn as they should be with the roster that they have assembled. Adding Millsap is just another piece to the puzzle to help get the Nets over the top as they have their sights set on hoisting the Larry O'Brien trophy at the end of next year.
