Panhandle corrections center inmate arrested in Scottsbluff

On Aug. 18 at 3:34 p.m. Scottsbluff police received a tip that 41 year-old Ruby Bingham of Mitchell was at a home on Mary Lane in Scottsbluff.

Bingham was wanted for a July escape from the Community Corrections Center in Lincoln. 

"Scottsbluff Police went there and located Ruby Bingham hiding inside the home," Scottsbluff Police Sgt. Philip  Eckerberg said. 

Bingham was booked in the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center for an escape warrant.

36 year-old Miguel Tirado of Mitchell, who was with Bingham, was arrested.

Tirado was booked in the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center for aiding and abetting escape.

Bingham also served time at the women’s prison in York for a meth conviction in Box Butte County. 

Bingham served from June 12, 2019 until she was discharged on July 13, 2020. She was residing in Alliance at the time of the conviction.
