Now that the initial 53-man roster is set, here’s a prediction on what the Cleveland Browns depth chart may look like in Week 1.

The Cleveland Browns made their cuts to get their roster to the required 53 players by 4 PM Tuesday. After Wednesday’s waiver claims were processed league-wide, they were able to begin signing players to their practice squad.

Fan favorites like defensive end Porter Gustin, wide receiver/kick returner JoJo Natson, and fullback Johnny Stanton found their way back to Cleveland by way of the practice squad, and may eventually move back to the active roster at some time this season.

While the Browns continue to fill out their practice squad and find players that they want to keep around the organization, the focus begins to turn towards their Week 1 opponent, the Kansas City Chiefs, and their depth chart as they head into this game. While some positions have a clear-cut pecking order, others are clear as mud, and are a toss-up until announced.

While that may be the case, however, it’s not going to stop anyone from taking their guesses at these positions and how the depth chart is going to look. With that being said, here is a prediction for how the Cleveland Browns depth chart will look in Week 1 against the Chiefs.

Cleveland Browns Specialists Depth Chart

Kicker – Chase McLaughlin

Punter – Jamie Gillan

Long Snapper – Charley Hughlett

Returner – Demetric Felton, Donovan Peoples-Jones

There aren’t really any surprises when it comes to the specialists unit for the Cleveland Browns. Felton has won the starting returner job, and Donovan Peoples-Jones is a safe bet to be his backup. Chase McLaughlin is the only kicker on the Browns roster at this moment, but any early-season struggles could quickly change that.
