'Watch Dogs: Legion' Is Free To Play For Limited Time, You Can Download Now

Ubisoft has confirmed that Watch Dogs: Legion will be free to play for a limited time this weekend. Starting Friday September 3 and ending the following Sunday, the open-world hacker adventure will be available to try out on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Google Stadia if you're into that sort of thing.
News of the free weekend was confirmed via a Ubisoft blog post. Even better, most of you can pre-load the game via your respective storefronts right now so you're not wasting precious time at the weekend. PC players can choose to go through either the Epic Games Store or the Ubisoft Store. For some reason, Xbox users have not been given the option to pre-load.

Watch Dogs: Legion takes place in a totally fictional and not-at-all inspired by real world events version of London, in which the United Kingdom has become a hateful and divided little island ruled by fear. It's a perfect game if you're after an escape from a reality where that is definitely not happening hahahahahaha.
Ubisoft promises players can get up to a little bit of everything the game to offer, "such as playing darts at the local pub and participating in bareknuckle fights, as well as explore four of the eight boroughs including the City of London and Lambeth." You'll also be able to play through the game's storyline up to the Skye Larsen mission."
As with all Ubisoft trials, any progress you make during your time with the game will be carried over, should you decide to make a purchase. I've played a fair bit of Watch Dogs: Legion, and while it's by no means a perfect game I would at least say there's fun to be had in driving around the in-game recreation of London to see if you recognise anything. Like that big clock.
