Two people were arrested after several law enforcement agencies executed two search warrants in the greater Sedalia area in connection to a catalytic converter theft investigation.
The Sedalia Police Department Criminal Investigations Bureau, the Crime Resolution Unit, the Detective Sergeant from the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office, and deputies from the Cooper County Sheriff’s Office conducted the warrants Wednesday around 10:30 a.m.
Law enforcement officers served a search warrant at 508 W. Main St., a business allegedly purchasing catalytic converters to be recycled.
The second search warrant was served at 5162 Highway 135 in Otterville.
107 cutoff catalytic converters were seized from the two locations.
Investigators found the business at 508 W. Main St. was a violation of Sedalia City Ordinance.
Robert Roland, 48, of Otterville, and Crystal Roland, 34, of Otterville, were arrested for felony stealing and failure to keep required records and registers of purchase.
Both Robert and Crystal are being held at the Pettis County Jail.
