Drake’s Mom Is Sending the Sweetest Notes to Her ‘Lover Boy’ Ahead of His Album’s Release
While Drake is the Certified Lover Boy, as the name of his upcoming album indicates, the Certified Mama’s Boy is getting some pre-album release love from his mother.
Sandi Graham has been sending him sweet notes each day before 6 God drops his sixth studio album on Friday (Sept. 3). On Tuesday, the rapper shared a rhyme from her that was addressed to “Lover Boy.”
“Three days more we’re counting down, For us to hear the best. Everyone’s excited, cause you’re nothing like the rest. Three more days my pookaroo, I couldn’t be more proud of you! Loving mom,” her first note read.
On Wednesday (Sept. 1), he shared her second note, which was written on the back of a postcard from Wolf & Moon, a Toronto-based boutique: “Day two is here, one more to go. We go high when they go low. Certified — it’s been quite a ride, I forever admire your relentless drive.”
Drizzy confirmed Certified Lover Boy will drop at the end of the week by posting the cover image on Monday, which features a colorful collage of 12 pregnant mom emojis. While he keeps posting Mama Sandi’s notes, Drake’s also been posting up CLB lyrics on billboards all over The 6 that read “Something other than me has got to give,” “I don’t miss… Let alone miss you,” as well as “Should’ve said you loved me today, because tomorrow is a new day.”
