Good morning!

Cool & Pleasant: The cooling trend will continue as the new week gets underway. By Tuesday, highs will be in the mid and upper 70s. Highs Wednesday will dip in the lower 70s, along with dry weather.

Turning Wet-Watching Ian: The future path of Ian will play a big role in our weather for the end of this week and into the weekend. An arrival into the Southeast is almost a certainty at this point, but there are still questions about where that occurs and where it heads once it makes landfall. It seems likely that we'll see more clouds around on Thursday which will add to the coolness, and could keep our high temperature below 70. Rain is a strong possibility to arrive on Friday and has potential to be around on and off through the weekend. Even if the center tracks near us, the storm is likely to have lost organization by then. Destructive winds aren't anticipated, but there will still be gusts thanks to the pressure gradient between the storm center and the strong high pressure system that will be in place over the Northeast. Heavy rain and the potential for flooding will be the biggest risks for our area with this system.

Have a great day!

Getting tired of seeing "hurricane warning" across my feed when it's just a normal tropical storm. It's hard to believe even the Weather Channels anymore.
